Bruno Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Cardozo in the 13th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Collonials FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Ezequiel Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joanesia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gilvan Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Collonials FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciro Cardozo made a kick off. The supporters of Collonials FC booed when Joanesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Moisés Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel dos Santos having to interfere.
