Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Metal FC's Gildo Paraense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Arantes during the 2nd minute. After 20 minutes, Dráusio Mendes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráusio Mendes in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Carlos Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giuseppe Britto in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Svante Sikström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 30th minute of the match Edvaldo Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Carlos Prado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Passinhos EC's Svante Sikström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Passinhos EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Passinhos EC's Nilson Albuquerque got a free kick in the 39th minute.

Dráusio Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 minutes, Marcinho Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metal FC and the Passinhos EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Metal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Silva to maneuver through the defense.
