A collision led to Operário Laranjeiras getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Antônio Sousa hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Renan Mandrak made a precise shot to the right of Hudson Bastos. Operário Laranjeiras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Renan Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Bastos having to interfere. Renan Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hudson Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deivid Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Deivid Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hudson Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deivid Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Hudson Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Renan Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hudson Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Silva in the 29th minute of the match. Hudson Bastos came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by New Hope Futebol's Deivid Silva. But to his dismay, Deivid Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Operário Laranjeiras booed when New Hope Futebol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Sousa in the 38th minute of play. Deivid Silva struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hudson Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Hope Futebol. Cícero Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Saldanha hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 46 minutes of play, Operário Laranjeiras's Sandro Cabral made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renan Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. Deivid Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hudson Bastos was a little too slow when Renan Mandrak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-3. After a rather tough play, Operário Laranjeiras's Cícero Dionísio got a free kick in the 58th minute. Tarcisio Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Serginho de Andrade hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Operário Laranjeiras. Edu Martins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Galvão. 2-3. Deivid Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Antônio Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Antônio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Fausto Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Operário Laranjeiras defense, Deivid Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hudson Bastos. The Operário Laranjeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson Bastos should have stopped the shot. Paulo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
