After having played for 10 minutes, Kiko Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Novorizontino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Santana in the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Grêmio Novorizontino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Ramiro Aparecido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Sem Jeito So Derrota's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Faria came free, but Rubens Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Geovani Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. The tension between the Grêmio Novorizontino and the Sem Jeito So Derrota players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Filipe Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Sem Jeito So Derrota's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel de Queiroz came free, but Rubens Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Grêmio Novorizontino getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gabriel de Queiroz hit a great ball. Elias Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Norberto Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Gabriel de Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Paulista. Sem Jeito So Derrota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel de Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Ronaldo Santana struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Norberto Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sem Jeito So Derrota. Sem Jeito So Derrota's Filipe Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Grêmio Novorizontino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Prado to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Ronaldo Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sem Jeito So Derrota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gabriel de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Novorizontino's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubens Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Grêmio Novorizontino's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Catarinense came free, but Norberto Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Grêmio Novorizontino players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
