In the 34th match minute, Atlético de Itu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Britto to maneuver through the defense. Váldson Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséas Corrêa having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Váldson Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jacinto Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Itu's protests and gave Jacinto Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Atlético de Itu got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Sanches. Nildo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to ITUMBIARA E.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Sandrinho Marquez hit a great ball. Antônio Carlos Paraense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Oséas Corrêa made a huge save. After 61 played minutes Atlético de Itu got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Britto. The supporters of ITUMBIARA E.C. booed when Atlético de Itu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Váldson Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséas Corrêa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Váldson Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Atlético de Itu defense, Antônio Carlos Paraense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oséas Corrêa. The Atlético de Itu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséas Corrêa should have stopped the shot. Váldson Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético de Itu's Orlando Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
