Chateaubriand's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Váldson Maciel made a kick off. Erik Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 62 minutes of play, Chateaubriand's Chiquinho Marinho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo Urbano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Paulo Renato Matos fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ITUMBIARA E.C.'s protests and gave Paulo Renato Matos a yellow card for diving instead. Nildo Urbano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías de Castro's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. If Matías de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Urbano went to the wrong direction when Rodrigo Vidal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías de Castro in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elivélton Meireles scored 3-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Urbano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ITUMBIARA E.C.'s Antônio Carlos Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Erik Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chateaubriand fans cheered their team off the field, for while ITUMBIARA E.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
