The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kauan Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Maciel in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Felippe Baptista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Urbano. ITUMBIARA E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felippe Baptista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Váldson Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Skylab United booed when ITUMBIARA E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felippe Baptista scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Urbano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nildo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Maciel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felippe Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Urbano having to interfere. Nildo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Baptista in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Skylab United's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Maciel came free, but Kauan Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Skylab United's Fabinho Vale made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo Urbano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antônio Carlos Paraense took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kauan Mota. Kauan Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 74th minute, Paulo Renato Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Antônio Carlos Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ITUMBIARA E.C.'s Nildo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Baptista in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Skylab United's Chico Luz got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of Skylab United booed when ITUMBIARA E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, ITUMBIARA E.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felippe Baptista fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Fabinho Vale came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Skylab United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Vale couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Kaká Amorim suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 89th match minute, ITUMBIARA E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Matos to maneuver through the defense. Nildo Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho Vale in the 90th minute. ITUMBIARA E.C.'s Nildo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Baptista in the 94th minute of play. The Skylab United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
