Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chiquinho Marinho took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gabriel Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Isaltino Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Grossas AD's goalkeeper Claudinei Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías de Castro. In the 8th match minute, Chateaubriand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Chateaubriand's zone, Gabriel Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Rossi came out of the goal and Gabriel Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matías de Castro struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Claudinei Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chateaubriand. Paulão Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Rodrigo Vidal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grossas AD's Claudinei Melo didn't even have to move. Elivélton Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elivélton Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elivélton Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Dagoberto Cerezo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Chateaubriand got a freekick which was hit by Erik Sanches. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaltino Rossi was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Grossas AD. Dagoberto Cerezo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Isaltino Rossi. 0-1. When Edvaldo Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grossas AD's protests and gave Edvaldo Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grossas AD's Edvaldo Monteiro got a free kick in the 35th minute. Matías de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Melo having to interfere. Isaltino Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Cearense in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Grossas AD's Zeca Cearense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaltino Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gabriel Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Chiquinho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Grossas AD booed when Chateaubriand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dagoberto Cerezo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaltino Rossi. Chateaubriand's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Marinho in the 60th minute of play forced Grossas AD's goalkeeper Claudinei Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeca Cearense in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chateaubriand's zone, Zeca Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Rossi came out of the goal and Zeca Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaltino Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Mazza in the 72nd minute of play. Matías de Castro took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinei Melo. Claudinei Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Isaltino Rossi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gabriel Mazza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 77 minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Anderson Donatello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaltino Rossi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Chateaubriand's Matías de Castro made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Chateaubriand's Isaltino Rossi got control of the ball when Zeca Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grossas AD's Claudinei Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías de Castro in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
