Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chiquinho Marinho started the match with the kick off. Oséas Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Marinho in the 6th minute of play. Matías de Castro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Oséas Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chateaubriand. In the 24th minute, Carlos Augusto Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaltino Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Britto in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Carlos Augusto Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Itu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Bittencourt in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaltino Rossi saved Chateaubriand from getting behind. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chateaubriand's goalkeeper Isaltino Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Atlético de Itu booed when Chateaubriand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Orlando Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Chateaubriand got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Meireles. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Bueno during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Isaltino Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Carlos Augusto Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaltino Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Orlando Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Matías de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséas Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Olavo de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Alberto Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chateaubriand's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Itu the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Chateaubriand:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético de Itu:s goal. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Atlético de Itu. Vânderson Rocha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Isaltino Rossi. 2-2. Rodrigo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Orlando Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72ndth minute of the game Orlando Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chateaubriand's Isaltino Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Raphael Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético de Itu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chateaubriand the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Atlético de Itu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Britto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Matías de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chateaubriand's supporters rose to their feet, but Matías de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséas Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías de Castro in the 79th minute of play forced Atlético de Itu's goalkeeper Oséas Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Chiquinho Marinho made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético de Itu's Oséas Corrêa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaltino Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Augusto Sena in the 96th minute. A collision led to Chateaubriand getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Alberto Carvalho hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chateaubriand fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético de Itu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
