Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) Cabo Frio's Russ Bull started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cabo Frio booed when Indios SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes, Russ Bull made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Indios SS's Roberto Tinoco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Russ Bull left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cabo Frio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Charles Carioca took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jeferson Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. After 24 played minutes Indios SS got a freekick which was hit by Amauri de Carvalho. When Russ Bull came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cabo Frio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Bull couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sandro Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabo Frio's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Indios SS's zone, Russ Bull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Tinoco came out of the goal and Russ Bull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elói Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Roberto Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Indios SS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Basílio de Medeiros hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Cabo Frio's Fernandinho Leme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Tinoco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cabo Frio reached it. In the 43rdth minute of the game Russ Bull who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Indios SS's Roberto Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roberto Tinoco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russ Bull's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Doni Proença hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Cabo Frio's Russ Bull got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frédson Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Tinoco having to interfere. If Russ Bull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Hernani Sanches hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Russ Bull in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Russ Bull recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Carioca in the 84th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Russ Bull had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Tinoco. Indios SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Russ Bull was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Indios SS's Roberto Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Indios SS from getting a goal against them. Cabo Frio's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
