After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jardel Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Andrzejewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zé Carlos Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Gerbasi A.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Nunes couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gerbasi A.C. booed when Rufa City FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Clemente Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wágner Dionísio. Dinei de Lima did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Clemente Baiano 28 minutes into the match. Edward Andrzejewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jardel Cosme went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jardel Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Edward Andrzejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Jardel Cosme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Andrzejewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Gerbasi A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Moreira to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the game, Fabiano Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Edward Andrzejewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jardel Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raimundo Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Cosme was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Cosme in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward Andrzejewski saved Gerbasi A.C. from getting behind. After 53 played minutes Rufa City FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Figueiredo. The throw-in from Luís Guilherme Vasconcelos in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Guga Reis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guga Reis during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute Dinei de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Cosme in the 70th minute of play. Edward Andrzejewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Zé Carlos Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Cosme scored 1-4 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edward Andrzejewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Jardel Cosme fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edward Andrzejewski, passed just outside the right post. Edward Andrzejewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match was over Rufa City FC - FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gerbasi A.C. throughout the match.
