Fabiano Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evandro de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Fabiano Pimenta made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Jardel Cosme notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Piaui's Fabiano Pimenta. Fabiano Pimenta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Evandro de Barros pulled a muscle in his leg after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 18 minutes into the game, Adalberto Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piaui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rufa City FC - FSCMZ the free kick. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Tony Pinheiro was substituted for Evandro de Barros. In the 20th minute, Adalberto Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Piaui's Fabiano Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Cosme in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Tony Pinheiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Jardel Cosme took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Fabiano Pimenta to make any attempt to save it. Jardel Cosme struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Fabiano Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rufa City FC - FSCMZ. Bernardinho de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Baiano having to interfere. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Clemente Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Castro in the 39th minute of play. Clemente Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho de Barros in the 41st minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Piaui's Bernardinho de Barros made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabiano Pimenta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tony Pinheiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 44 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jardel Cosme to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Cabral during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Piaui booed when Rufa City FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Piaui's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Cosme came free, but Fabiano Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabiano Viana in the 59th minute. Fabiano Viana made a great header on Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Piaui's Fabiano Pimenta managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th match minute, Rufa City FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Waldir Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Jardel Cosme made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Piaui's Fabiano Pimenta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Jardel Cosme in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's attentive Guga Reis managed to snatch the ball when Tiago Trancoso made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. After 84 played minutes Piaui got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Mello. In the 85th minute of the match Fabiano Viana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Pimenta skillfully saved the ball. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Guga Reis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ezequiel Pimenta, made in the 89th minute of the game. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Guga Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabiano Pimenta came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's Jardel Cosme. But to his dismay, Jardel Cosme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Rufa City FC - FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
