If Frederico Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute Sugar Villavicencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmílson Souto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugênio Custódio went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 31 minutes, Durval Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urutu SS and the A. A. INTERNACIONAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Durval Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Edmílson Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute.
