In the 6th minute Cássio Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Roberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Couto in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, GUIRICEMA's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Severo came free, but Cássio Roberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Ruan Seco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GUIRICEMA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. A. INTERNACIONAL the free kick. Cássio Roberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Sugar Villavicencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Roberto was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 15th play minutes Sugar Villavicencio shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Cássio Roberto and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to GUIRICEMA getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Erasmo Vergílio hit a great ball. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Severo in the 19th minute of play. Cássio Roberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sugar Villavicencio went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 23 played minutes A. A. INTERNACIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Miles Milligan. In the 26th minute Celsinho Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Roberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Dorival Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Couto in the 30th minute of play. Cássio Roberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederico Couto went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the GUIRICEMA defense, Frederico Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Roberto. The GUIRICEMA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Roberto should have stopped the shot. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Couto in the 40th minute of play. Cássio Roberto came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by A. A. INTERNACIONAL's Sugar Villavicencio. But to his dismay, Sugar Villavicencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. A hard shot 45 in the game by Márcio Ramalho from a close distance when the talented Ramón Favoretto managed to make a qualified save. A. A. INTERNACIONAL's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Ramón Favoretto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, A. A. INTERNACIONAL's Frederico Couto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After 57 played minutes A. A. INTERNACIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Custódio. After having played for 58 minutes, Márcio Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GUIRICEMA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Josué Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Roberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Cássio Severo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. A. A. INTERNACIONAL's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Couto got free with Cássio Roberto in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, GUIRICEMA's goalkeeper Cássio Roberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Couto. Cássio Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Figueiredo in the 82nd minute of play. Cássio Roberto made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Frederico Couto sent off a good shot on target. Frederico Couto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cássio Roberto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 89 minutes of play, A. A. INTERNACIONAL's Sugar Villavicencio made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Roberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, GUIRICEMA's Cássio Roberto got control of the ball when Frederico Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded A. A. INTERNACIONAL left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GUIRICEMA.
