The audience was convinced that Mateus Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Ramalho was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 9th minute, Marquinhos Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Cardoso in the 12th minute of play forced Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Igor Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Baba Bāba-Siltais came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos da Bahia Fc's Betão Pitta. But to his dismay, Betão Pitta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Santos da Bahia Fc's goalkeeper Igor Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Favoretto. Igor Ramalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo de Carvalho went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jägermeister FC's Mateus Favoretto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mateus Favoretto had several of the Santos da Bahia Fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Igor Ramalho as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Santos da Bahia Fc's zone, Mateus Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Ramalho came out of the goal and Mateus Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos da Bahia Fc's Igor Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Santos da Bahia Fc from getting a goal against them. Betão Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Santos da Bahia Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Favoretto came free, but Igor Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Cristiano Cardoso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateus Favoretto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ian de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Cardoso in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Jägermeister FC booed when Santos da Bahia Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Santos da Bahia Fc getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. André Albuquerque hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Nelson Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Betão Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos da Bahia Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos da Bahia Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateus Favoretto in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelson Vides took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Ramalho. Igor Ramalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olavo Loyola during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, one of Jägermeister FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jägermeister FC. After 86 minutes of play, Santos da Bahia Fc's Geovani Linares made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Baba Bāba-Siltais was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Santos da Bahia Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cardoso came free, but Igor Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos da Bahia Fc's Igor Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Favoretto in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jägermeister FC had played much better football throughout.
