With a little luck, Zadilinos's Lenílson Terra got control of the ball when Paulinho Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th minute Beto Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Tepedino in the 13th minute of play forced Zadilinos's goalkeeper Lenílson Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa Rosa during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Zadilinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Kauã Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Macedo in the 20th minute of play forced Red BuL Sao Carlos's goalkeeper Ernesto Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Paulinho Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Red BuL Sao Carlos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kauã Sá hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Red BuL Sao Carlos's Laércio Tepedino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lenílson Terra. Lenílson Terra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Lenílson Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Tepedino in the 37th minute of play. Paulinho Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Lenílson Terra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Red BuL Sao Carlos's Ernesto Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Faria in the 41st minute of play. Ernesto Cerezo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Zadilinos's Henrique Guerra. But to his dismay, Henrique Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulinho Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Zadilinos's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Sá came free, but Lenílson Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Lenílson Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fábio Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cerezo having to interfere. Red BuL Sao Carlos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Henrique Guerra scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Cerezo, making the score, 1-2. In the 67th minute, Beto Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Laércio Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ademir Correia fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zadilinos's protests and gave Ademir Correia a yellow card for diving instead. Ademir Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zadilinos's zone, Fernandinho Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Terra came out of the goal and Fernandinho Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldir Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Red BuL Sao Carlos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Luís Fábio Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Zadilinos's Dadá das Neves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dadá das Neves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zadilinos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dadá das Neves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 79 minutes into the game, one of Zadilinos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Red BuL Sao Carlos a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernandinho Fernandez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zadilinos's Lenílson Terra. 2-2. After 85 played minutes Zadilinos's Luís Fábio Faria stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Ernesto Cerezo stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Red BuL Sao Carlos of the goal. Ernesto Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Luís Fábio Faria hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Lenílson Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Red BuL Sao Carlos's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Luz came free, but Ernesto Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Zadilinos defense, Kauã Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lenílson Terra. The Zadilinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lenílson Terra should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zadilinos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Red BuL Sao Carlos.
