After 17 played minutes CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Aguiar. Valério de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackie Chana in the 20th minute of the match. If Yusuf Tokuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd match minute, Alpha F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jackie Chana managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Jackie Chana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th match minute, Alpha F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Braga to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jackie Chana in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério de Medeiros saved Alpha F. C. from getting behind. Valério de Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Diamantino de Sena 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. A collision led to Alpha F. C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Oscar Braga hit a great ball. Valério de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Koehler in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yusuf Tokuş was the one to do the kick off. Yusuf Tokuş took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Guilherme Almeida. Luís Guilherme Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Valério de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Aguiar in the 55th minute. The supporters of Alpha F. C. booed when CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Maurício Guimarães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valério de Medeiros. Maurício Guimarães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Carlos Alberto Aguiar's late challenge caught a Alpha F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Aguiar. Luís Guilherme Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Tokuş in the 73rd minute of play. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alpha F. C.. Valério de Medeiros had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Maurício Guimarães's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
