In the 20th minute, CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Mané Koehler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo de Godoi. Paulo de Godoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Jackie Chana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jackie Chana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo de Godoi. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. Cássio de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo de Godoi having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Maurício Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritama Sport Club the free kick. After 31 played minutes CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Guimarães. In the 33rd match minute, Buritama Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio de Lima to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Jackie Chana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo de Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackie Chana in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackie Chana in the 47th minute of play forced Buritama Sport Club's goalkeeper Paulo de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jackie Chana was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mané Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Paulo de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Vides hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Olívio de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buritama Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Paulo de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Barbosa during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sport Club's Arnaldo Barbosa got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 79 played minutes Buritama Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Vieira. After 83 minutes of play, Buritama Sport Club's Fabiano Veiga made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Guilherme Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th match minute, Buritama Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Paulo de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA had played much better football throughout.
