Rafael Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Zadilinos a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. Lenílson Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franciszek Serwach, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gil Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Faria in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the game, Beto Luz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Zadilinos made a substitution. Ademir Correia replaced Beto Luz. In the 34th minute, Franciszek Serwach reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lenílson Terra. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 37th minute, Dráuzio Montenegro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luís Fábio Faria made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Guaecá MZ's goalkeeper Gil Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fábio Faria. Gil Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Guerra in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Fábio Faria could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Gil Paes however easily saved by the left post. In the 58th minute, Suárez Rado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lenílson Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The supporters of Guaecá MZ booed when Zadilinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Leonel Perez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lenílson Terra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Zadilinos getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Emerson Goiano hit a great ball. Dráuzio Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zadilinos's zone, Franciszek Serwach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Terra came out of the goal and Franciszek Serwach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Zadilinos got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Rosa. When Guaecá MZ's Suárez Rado in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zadilinos's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Zadilinos booed when Guaecá MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Tóth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Guaecá MZ got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Perez. Franciszek Serwach struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Luís Fábio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
