Tarcisio Marques got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Edu Sousa. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Laércio Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Laércio Tepedino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vladimir Vasconcelos, 1-6. Paulinho Cunha took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Vasconcelos. Vladimir Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. The ArturoChips E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Red BuL Sao Carlos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
