The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldo Ferreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valério de Medeiros. That made the score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Tokuş in the 34th minute of play forced Guerreiros da Real's goalkeeper Reginaldo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Diamantino de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Guerreiros da Real's Alonzo Herena got a free kick in the 39th minute. Alpha F. C.'s Valério de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Matos in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Guerreiros da Real was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Mello to maneuver through the defense. Valério de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Guerreiros da Real's Osvaldo Ferreira. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yusuf Tokuş made a kick off. In the 54th minute Manfredo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valério de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Ortiz in the 55th minute of play forced Alpha F. C.'s goalkeeper Valério de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alpha F. C. were furious when Vágner Rosado was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Valério de Medeiros went to the wrong direction when Décio Dracena was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Valério de Medeiros had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Décio Dracena's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Per Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Diamantino de Sena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reginaldo Guimarães, 4-2. Nuno Espírito Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Guimarães having to interfere. Alpha F. C. made a substitution. Pedro Augusto Prata replaced Walmir Koehler. If Yusuf Tokuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guerreiros da Real's Reginaldo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino de Sena in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Alpha F. C. booed when Guerreiros da Real was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Alpha F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Matos came free, but Valério de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute Rafa Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Guerreiros da Real support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
