The crowd rose to their feet as Lauro Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Cerezo. That made the score 2-4 in the 44 minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Lambari supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red BuL Sao Carlos's performance. The match ended with a win for Red BuL Sao Carlos.
