In the 13th minute, one of Buritama Sport Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buritama Sport Club. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 15th minute, where Guerreiros da Real:s Décio Dracena tricked Buritama Sport Club:s Paulo de Godoi with a difficult ball by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Buritama Sport Club's zone, Osvaldo Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo de Godoi came out of the goal and Osvaldo Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sport Club's Tales Moreira got a free kick in the 34th minute. Rafa Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paulo de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olívio de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Buritama Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio de Lima couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rafa Matos made the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Ferreira's late challenge caught a Buritama Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Guerreiros da Real got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Ferreira. 53 minutes into the match, Guerreiros da Real's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio de Lima came free, but Reginaldo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tales Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buritama Sport Club's protests and gave Tales Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. Tales Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Osvaldo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Paulo de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Buritama Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Ferreira came free, but Paulo de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guerreiros da Real's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
