Gernando Rossi came out of the goal and Tadeu Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Oeste Barueri Andrade's Gernando Rossi got control of the ball when Tadeu Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldão Valadares during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wellington Quadros in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredinho Sampaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredinho Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Alcântara in the 43rd minute of the match.
