Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tarcisio Sergipano took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adilson de Queiroz in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Mesquita saved Georgetown from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edu de Salles was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Georgetown's Tomé de Souza got a free kick in the 7th minute. A collision led to Georgetown getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Marcos Cardoso hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Adilson de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerson Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Georgetown's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Nunes came free, but Gerson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Sergipano in the 18th minute of play forced Mazela's goalkeeper Edu de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Vicente Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazela and the Georgetown players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Mazela got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Lara. André Luiz Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Mazela's Claudinho Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tarcisio Sergipano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edu de Salles having to make a save. Mazela's Edu de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Tinoco in the 27th minute of play. Róbson Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Leonardo Paraense made a precise shot to the right of Edu de Salles. Mazela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Nunes in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Mesquita saved Georgetown from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Adilson de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mazela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 37th minute Adilson de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Tomé de Souza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edu de Salles, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Mazela's Edu de Salles got control of the ball when Tomé de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Georgetown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mazela were winning 1-3.
When Georgetown's Geovânio Tinoco in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mazela's goalie prevented a goal. If Leonardo Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62ndth minute of the game Leonardo Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazela's Edu de Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edu de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tarcisio Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edu de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Georgetown's goalkeeper Gerson Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adilson de Queiroz. The crowd rose to their feet as Mazela's Adilson de Queiroz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerson Mesquita. That made the score 1-4 after 70 minutes of play. 73 minutes into the game, Vicente Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Gerson Mesquita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 78 minutes, Tomé de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Georgetown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomé de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edu de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Paraense in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Hugo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Róbson Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazela's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerson Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Georgetown's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Róbson Freire scored to the left of an out of position Gerson Mesquita, making the score, 1-6. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mazela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
