In the 37th minute of the match Nuporanga SC got a corner. Corinthians-PR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raphael Cardozo ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Rodrigo Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Corinthians-PR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Lopes couldn't finish the play. Nuporanga SC's João Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha de Andrade in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Souto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rodrigo Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Corinthians-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Alagoano came free, but Cléberson Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Neves hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match Corinthians-PR got a corner. Nuporanga SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiliam de Mendonça ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Wiliam de Mendonça almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nuporanga SC's João Rossi did a great save. If Rodrigo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Souto in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléberson Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Corinthians-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Souto came free, but Cléberson Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléberson Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Souto in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raúl Lopes during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nuporanga SC! In the 86th minute, Lino Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléberson Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Cafu Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cléberson Secco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cafu Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Nuporanga SC's Lino Souto in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians-PR's goalie prevented a goal. If Cafu Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Souto in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Cesinha de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
