Pirassununguense's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fábio dos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Nunes to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Claudinho Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Mazela's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio dos Santos came free, but Edu de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yan Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mazela players left disappointed.
