The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aílton Mandrak made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo's zone, Jardel Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Bologa came out of the goal and Jardel Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Rude's Aílton Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Bologa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Mandrak came free, but Damian Bologa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Klavs Gieselager notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rude's Almir de Senna. Almir de Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Jardel Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Matei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Almir de Senna came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodrigo Matei slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Rude's Sidney Moura got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Rodrigo Matei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Reis. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agostinho Vander to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidney Moura's late challenge caught a São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Moura helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Rude was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Moura to maneuver through the defense. 3-1 came in the 53rd minute when Honorio Tanio all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Almir de Senna. Damian Bologa was a little too slow when Aílton Mandrak got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 3-2. In the 65th minute, Daniel Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Paulinho Sena's late challenge caught a Rude's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulinho Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Sena to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77thth minute of the game Rodrigo Matei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rude's Almir de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. São Paulo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Agostinho Vander in the 79th minute. Rude's Almir de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Matei in the 80th minute of play. São Paulo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Aílton Mandrak scored to the left of an out of position Damian Bologa, making the score, 4-3. Rodrigo Matei scored 5-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almir de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Almir de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
