Hortêncio Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho Coelho got free with Hortêncio Gonçalves in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hortêncio Gonçalves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélio Braga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Praia Grande MZC's Hortêncio Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Andrade in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Praia Grande MZC's Luiz Soares got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 24 in the game by Andrézinho Coelho from a close distance when the talented Hortêncio Gonçalves managed to make a qualified save. Praia Grande MZC's players were relieved. Hélio Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hortêncio Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guilherme Perez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to MAIS TRADICIONAL FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Abelardo Andrade hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Andrézinho Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

58 minutes into the match, Abelardo Andrade notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Praia Grande MZC's Hortêncio Gonçalves. Hortêncio Gonçalves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hortêncio Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Coelho in the 64th minute of play. Luiz Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Nelson Albuquerque made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Claudinei Cunha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Abelardo Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Gonçalves. Praia Grande MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to Praia Grande MZC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. João Augusto Vides hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Claudinei Cunha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Praia Grande MZC's Hortêncio Gonçalves didn't even have to move. If Luiz Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrézinho Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Andrézinho Coelho got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 92 played minutes MAIS TRADICIONAL FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Travassos. Luiz Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Abelardo Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hortêncio Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The MAIS TRADICIONAL FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
