Cacá Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso de Queirós having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Só Canela FC's Romário Aguiar got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Maicon Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Só Canela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sexta Rua FC the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Só Canela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Só Canela FC's Afonso de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Só Canela FC from getting a goal against them. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Braulio Odilon with Fernandão Trevisan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sexta Rua FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
