In the 16th minute, Sandrinho Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Bueno came free, but Nelson Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of MAIS TRADICIONAL FC booed when Rio Brando de Andradas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Putz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandrinho Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rio Brando de Andradas FC's Claudinho Valadares got a free kick in the 89th minute. Einar Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Cunha in the 90th minute of the match. Andrézinho Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Wall having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MAIS TRADICIONAL FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
