Maicon Mendonça who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Natanael Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wilian Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Hermes took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso de Queirós. Afonso de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Só Canela FC's Maicon Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Válter Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso de Queirós. Só Canela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Afonso de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Hermes in the 29th minute of play. Afonso de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo José Hermes went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, Só Canela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Hermes came free, but Afonso de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Mendonça to make the kick off. Toninho Hoffmann hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Fantini in the 58th minute of play forced Só Canela FC's goalkeeper Afonso de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Fantini had several of the Só Canela FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Afonso de Queirós as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 60th minute, Maicon Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Paulo José Hermes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Afonso de Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Só Canela FC's Afonso de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Só Canela FC from getting a goal against them. Maicon Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natanael Silva having to interfere. Afonso de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Fantini in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Paneleros FC booed when Só Canela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Palmeira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Maicon Mendonça took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natanael Silva. Natanael Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Afonso de Queirós was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Arnaldo Fantini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Fantini really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Paulo José Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso de Queirós having to make a save. After 96 played minutes Arnaldo Fantini rounded Só Canela FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-7.
