If Jefferson Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Lucas Berger put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Jaguaricatu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pereirao:s goal. Didi Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gustaw Domaradzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edu Barreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didi Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didi Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Gustaw Domaradzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaguaricatu. After a defensive mix-up in Pereirao's zone, Didi Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaw Domaradzki came out of the goal and Didi Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaw Domaradzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Jaguaricatu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pereirao's performance. The match ended with a win for Pereirao.
