The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Quirino got free with Edvaldo Guedes in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genílson Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Nelson de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amazing Football Club's protests and gave Nelson de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Nelson de Amorim hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes Imbiara EC got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe de Senna. 28 minutes into the match, Imbiara EC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Quirino. The crowd rose to their feet as Amazing Football Club's Nelson de Amorim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edvaldo Guedes. That made the score 1-0 after 44 minutes of play.

Ulysses Damião got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th minute, Ulysses Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Quirino in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Alfredo Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edvaldo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Quirino in the 79th minute of the match. Alfredo Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Edvaldo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Quirino took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Guedes. Edvaldo Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Imbiara EC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leandro Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Róbson Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edvaldo Guedes. Imbiara EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Amazing Football Club fully deserved thier win.
