Sidney Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TOP CORINTHIANS FC. After 9 minutes, Fábio da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TOP CORINTHIANS FC and the Razeirense MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the game, one of TOP CORINTHIANS FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. TOP CORINTHIANS FC:s Aílton Pinheiro showed great skill when he stopped Aírton da Silva:s penalty. Cido Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Renan de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Aílton Pinheiro made a huge save. In the 18th minute Cido Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aílton Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Brito in the 20th minute of play forced Razeirense MZC's goalkeeper Sidney Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Razeirense MZC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Mangueira. Aílton Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cido Pereira's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 34th match minute, Razeirense MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Pinheiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cido Pereira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. The supporters of TOP CORINTHIANS FC booed when Razeirense MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Fábio da Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Marques skillfully saved the ball. In the 46th minute Marcinho Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcinho Félix to make the kick off. TOP CORINTHIANS FC's Aílton Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Pereira in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TOP CORINTHIANS FC's Fábio da Fonseca got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute, Cido Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Aílton Pinheiro. TOP CORINTHIANS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernani Brito got free with Sidney Marques in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
