Varjoia SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 15th minute, Pedrinho Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christiano Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Atlétic Club BadBoys jrs's goalkeeper Reynaldo Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Botelho. When Walmir Barral came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Varjoia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Barral couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Varjoia SC's Luizinho Meireles got a free kick in the 24th minute. Pedrinho Motta's late challenge caught a Varjoia SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Motta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atlétic Club BadBoys jrs's Pedrinho Motta got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Atlétic Club BadBoys jrs were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hortêncio Botelho made a kick off. Reynaldo Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Botelho in the 52nd minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Pedrinho Motta made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Varjoia SC's Christiano Nunes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Atlétic Club BadBoys jrs's Reynaldo Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Botelho in the 60th minute of play.
