Baiao's Christian Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Baiao from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Noel da Fonseca sped through Baiao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Magalhães. Durvalino Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Baiao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Magalhães was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel da Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Suns's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
