Falcão Catarinense's late challenge caught a Trombetas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Falcão Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Sustino AD's goalkeeper Cláudio Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo de Andrade. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando Munhoz in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Galvão saved Trombetas from getting behind. In the 18th minute Alessandro Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro Siqueira took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Galvão. Celso Galvão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leandro Massa hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Siqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Galvão was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the game, Manfredo de Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trombetas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sustino AD the free kick. Sustino AD's Wilson Amaral was substituted for Cleiton Motta. Celso Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celso Galvão came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Sustino AD's Reynaldo Pinho. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Sustino AD were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kléberson Brodel made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Munhoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Galvão. Trombetas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fernando Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Alessandro Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Galvão having to make a save. The supporters of Sustino AD booed when Trombetas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trombetas's Celso Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Pinho in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Sustino AD's Alessandro Siqueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Siqueira in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Abraão hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Trombetas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Reynaldo Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Celso Galvão, making the score, 0-8. After 85 played minutes Sustino AD got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Mello. Manfredo de Andrade was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. Manfredo de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Adriano Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Celso Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Pinho struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Celso Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sustino AD. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fernando Munhoz got free with Celso Galvão in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Sustino AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Trombetas.
