In the 10th minute of the match Váldson Zonta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celso Galvão skillfully saved the ball. Ricardinho Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Silvinho Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvinho Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Baiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Velloso to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, Valdo Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baiao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trombetas the free kick. Valdo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Trombetas got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Barreto. Víktor Abraão struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Celso Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baiao. Celso Galvão came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Baiao's Valdo Arce. But to his dismay, Valdo Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Baiao's Christian Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo de Andrade in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Baiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Velloso to maneuver through the defense. When Kléberson Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Trombetas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléberson Brodel couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Trombetas's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Velloso came free, but Celso Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Velloso in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Genílson Sanches was the one to do the kick off. If Silvinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Christian Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Baiao's Genílson Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes, Baiao's Váldson Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celso Galvão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Baiao reached it. Silvinho Velloso scored 0-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Galvão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trombetas's Celso Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Sanches in the 79th minute of play. Celso Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Genílson Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Celso Galvão. Trombetas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Baiao getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Celso de Castro hit a great ball. Ricardinho Velloso hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Valdo Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Galvão having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Silvinho Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Baiao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
