Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acarai the free kick. Wilian Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Acarai's Juan Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Vianna in the 11th minute of play. Fernando Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18th play minutes Fernando Messias shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Juan Pirani and just under the crossbar into goal. After 21 minutes of play, Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's Jorginho Vargas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Fernando Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Pirani. Acarai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 32 minutes of play, Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's Jorginho Vargas made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Fernando Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidnei Reis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 44th playminute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorginho Vargas was the one to do the kick off. Fernando Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Juan Pirani made a huge save. Acarai's Juan Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Acarai from getting a goal against them. After 71 minutes, Angelo de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acarai and the Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Jorginho Vargas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Acarai's zone, Fernando Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Pirani came out of the goal and Fernando Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sidnei Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Fernando Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Fernando Messias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Pirani, 1-7. A collision led to Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alexandre Rossi hit a great ball. Ademar Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Ferraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Acarai fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
