Spectators: 7542 (Terracing: 5658, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sandrinho Salgado kicked off to start the match. Hugo Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesinha Cardozo having to make a save. After having played for 15 minutes, Rômulo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chafariz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rômulo Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gendo Karo-karo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rômulo Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Cesinha Cardozo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the game, Chafariz's Jardel Leão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesinha Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jardel Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jardel Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Chafariz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Leão to maneuver through the defense. Chafariz's Gendo Karo-karo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Rosa in the 26th minute of play. When Rômulo Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Chafariz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Carvalho couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Rômulo Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesinha Cardozo. Galvao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rômulo Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Galvao's goalkeeper Cesinha Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Mesquita. Cesinha Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Couto in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Chafariz's Rômulo Carvalho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cesinha Cardozo. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Chafariz's Bernard Filipkowski was substituted for Jardel Leão. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rômulo Carvalho to make the kick off. Hortêncio Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Cardozo having to interfere. If Sandrinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, Chafariz's Hortêncio Mesquita made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesinha Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hortêncio Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cesinha Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galvao's Cesinha Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Carvalho in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Carvalho in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Cardozo saved Galvao from getting behind. Telmo Lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesinha Cardozo having to make a save. Sandrinho Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Hortêncio Mesquita scored 5-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesinha Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rômulo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cesinha Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falcão Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chafariz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
