Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sandrinho Salgado kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Válter Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orós FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesinha Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 played minutes Orós FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Meireles. Osmar Guerra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 9thth minute of the game Válter Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galvao's Cesinha Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th match minute, Orós FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Pinho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Tavares in the 15th minute of play forced Galvao's goalkeeper Cesinha Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Sandrinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Galvao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Santana to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes of play, Orós FC's Válter Peres made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesinha Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Edinho Aparecido in the 30th minute really tested Zé Roberto Carioca's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Osmar Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesinha Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Válter Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Válter Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesinha Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Tavares in the 41st minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dadá Tavares was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Edmílson Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galvao and the Orós FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Galvao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Orós FC's Dadá Tavares in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galvao's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Orós FC's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Orós FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Meireles. If Sandrinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Dias in the 85th minute of play forced Orós FC's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Dadá Tavares had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 93rd minute, Edinho Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Válter Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orós FC's Edmílson Meireles got his second yellow card of the match in the 98th minute. The referee ordered Edmílson Meireles off the ground. A collision led to Orós FC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Edmílson Meireles hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Galvao's Osmar Guerra tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Orós FC played a much better game than Galvao and deserved their victory. The Galvao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
