With his leg Rafa Paes managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Dragões Vermelhos's Jacinto Veiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute, one of Tabajara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tabajara. Tabajara:s Rafa Paes showed great skill when he stopped Adelino Santana:s penalty. 11 minutes into the match, Adelino Santana notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tabajara's Rafa Paes. Rafa Paes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões Vermelhos's goalkeeper Alan Donatello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Eusébio Santana could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Rafa Paes however easily saved by the left post. In the 20th minute, Dragões Vermelhos's Eusébio Santana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafa Paes. Rafa Paes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 25th minute, João Gabriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dragões Vermelhos's Alan Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Gabriel in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Dragões Vermelhos's Eusébio Santana made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafa Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doni Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Rafa Paes was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Jacinto Veiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacinto Veiga really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Eusébio Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Gabriel made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Jacinto Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragões Vermelhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Jacinto Veiga sped through Tabajara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafa Paes. In the 57th match minute, Tabajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Gabriel during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, João Gabriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Eusébio Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões Vermelhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Paes having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Doni Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragões Vermelhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabajara the free kick. 75 minutes into the match, Tabajara's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Veiga came free, but Rafa Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragões Vermelhos's Eusébio Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tabajara's Rafa Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Santana in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Veiga in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafa Paes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dragões Vermelhos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tabajara had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
