Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mad Max FC's Cristóvão Sabóia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Breno Proença's late challenge caught a Mad Max FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno Proença helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Ferraria EC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Rosa. Evaristo Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Evaristo Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Martins in the 12th minute of the match. If Cristóvão Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tunç Baybars took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ferraria EC's zone, Cristóvão Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Varela came out of the goal and Cristóvão Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferraria EC's goalkeeper Evaristo Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Décio Mota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tunç Baybars made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Ivo Cordeiro sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot by João Paulo Guerra from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Tunç Baybars's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuseppe Pereira to make the kick off. Giuseppe Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Tunç Baybars made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Cordeiro in the 53rd minute of play. Ivo Cordeiro scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tunç Baybars, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Tunç Baybars tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oswaldo Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Mad Max FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Brito to maneuver through the defense. If Ivo Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Giuseppe Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóvão Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Ferraria EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Cordeiro in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tunç Baybars prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 minutes of play, Mad Max FC's Cristóvão Sabóia made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Mad Max FC's zone, Giuseppe Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tunç Baybars came out of the goal and Giuseppe Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tunç Baybars having to interfere. Décio Mota struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Evaristo Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mad Max FC. The Ferraria EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mad Max FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mad Max FC.
