After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Geovânio Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabajara's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesinha Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesinha Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Gabriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarbas Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Galvao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Tabajara a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geovânio Bastos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galvao's Cesinha Cardozo. 0-1. If João Gabriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Gabriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cesinha Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osmar Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafa Paes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Sandrinho Salgado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 32 minutes into the match, Tabajara's goalkeeper Rafa Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandrinho Salgado. Galvao's Sandrinho Salgado was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sandrinho Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Paes having to interfere. When Sandrinho Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Galvao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandrinho Salgado couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Edmílson Neves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafa Paes. The goal made the score 2-1. Sandrinho Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Rafa Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
After a defensive mix-up in Tabajara's zone, Osmar Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Paes came out of the goal and Osmar Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Sandrinho Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Galvao's zone, João Gabriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha Cardozo came out of the goal and João Gabriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafa Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Rosa in the 66th minute of play. Manuel Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cesinha Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Rafa Paes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandrinho Salgado went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute Sandrinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Galvao's Sandrinho Salgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafa Paes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hudson Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandrinho Salgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafa Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandrinho Salgado ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galvao had won after a very even match.
