The crowd rose to their feet as Rômulo Carvalho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafa Paes. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tabajara's zone, Falcão Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Paes came out of the goal and Falcão Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tabajara's Rafa Paes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Tabajara from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Chafariz's Renatinho Furtado got a free kick in the 47th minute. Chafariz made a substitution. Bernard Filipkowski replaced Jardel Leão. Rafa Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Carvalho in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Paes saved Tabajara from getting behind. Falcão Couto took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafa Paes. Rafa Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Rafa Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Carvalho in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Hortêncio Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luís Guilherme da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabajara's protests and gave Luís Guilherme da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead.
