The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Gabriel during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tabajara's João Gabriel got a free kick in the 21st minute. Zé Roberto Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, João Gabriel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Orós FC's Zé Roberto Carioca. Zé Roberto Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Válter Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Zé Roberto Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Gabriel, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Orós FC's Zé Roberto Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Gabriel in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Tabajara's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Teles came free, but Rafa Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafa Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Tavares in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dadá Tavares made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Dadá Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orós FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Tabajara got a freekick which was hit by Fred Massa. Manuel Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tabajara's Rafa Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Peres in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Dadá Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orós FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, João Carlos Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Edmílson Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orós FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabajara the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Tabajara's Geovânio Bastos tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Tabajara got a freekick which was hit by Fred Massa. After 87 minutes of play, Tabajara's Manuel Pires made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Roberto Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Dadá Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rafa Paes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute, Dadá Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Rafa Paes. Tabajara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
