If Amílton Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Scholl took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Duarte. Falcão Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Aroeiral SC's Alfredinho Pena got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Falcão Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Scholl in the 52nd minute of play. Max Scholl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Duarte having to interfere. Gil Fontes had great luck who in the 59thth minute grab hold of the ball when Flavinho Ceresso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 61st minute, Amadeu Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Salvador Futebol Clube had been in control for most of the match, Aroeiral SC still came away with the win.
