With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Falcão Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Tavares in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Ceresso in the 78th minute of the match. Jaozeiro's Humberto Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Flavinho Ceresso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Gustavo Soares. The goal made the score 1-2.
