Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Carlos Pinho in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Max Scholl to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lady Newton's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Perez came free, but Rodriguinho de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When João Carlos Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lady Newton's protests and gave João Carlos Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, João Carlos Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salvador Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lady Newton the free kick. With a little luck, Salvador Futebol Clube's Gil Fontes got control of the ball when Bernardo Mineiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Scholl in the 69th minute of play forced Lady Newton's goalkeeper Rodriguinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Max Scholl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Pinho in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Perez in the 85th minute of play forced Lady Newton's goalkeeper Rodriguinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Max Scholl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salvador Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Scholl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lady Newton getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Afonsinho Furlan hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
